Terms of use
1. About the service
Rangkai is a browser-based electronics and microcontroller programming simulator for learning, used by individuals, teachers, and students. By creating an account, joining a class, or using Try mode, you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts
- Users under 18 need permission from a parent or guardian to create a personal account. Students who join with a class code are under their teacher's responsibility.
- Provide accurate information and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person per account type is enough. Do not use someone else's account.
- Tell the operator if you think someone else is using your account.
3. Teachers and classes
- Teachers must obtain consent from a parent or guardian before students under 18 join their classes, as required by Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law.
- Student data (names, work, grades) may only be used for learning in that class, not shared with others or used for other purposes.
- Automatic grades are an aid. Teachers remain responsible for final grades and should review grades that matter to students.
- Leaderboards, quiz standings, and race boards show student names to classmates. Teachers should use these features thoughtfully and ask students to use nicknames.
4. Acceptable use
When using Rangkai, you must not:
- Upload or share content that is illegal, abusive, pornographic, violent, or contains other people's personal data.
- Try to access accounts, classes, or data that are not yours, or probe for security weaknesses without the operator's written permission.
- Deliberately overload the server, for example with repeated automated compilation, scripts, or bots.
- Use Rangkai to spread malicious programs or to design devices meant to harm people.
- Manipulate assignment results, grades, quizzes, or races, for example by sending fake data to the server.
5. Your projects and content
- Projects you create remain yours.
- You allow the operator to store, display, compile, and back up your projects as needed to run the service, including showing them to your class teachers and to people you share a link with.
- If you use someone else's code or diagrams, make sure their license allows it. Example projects and teacher assignments may be used for learning.
- If you submit a project to the gallery, you allow everyone to open, run, and copy it for learning. Only submit your own work or work whose license allows it, without personal data (full name, school, address, phone number, links) and without inappropriate words.
- Gallery entries appear only after an Admin approves them. Admins may reject or remove entries with a reason shown to you, and entries reported by several users are hidden until checked. You can withdraw your entry at any time.
- The operator may remove or hide content that breaks these terms.
6. Simulation limits and safety
Simulation is an approximation, not a guarantee. A circuit that works in Rangkai is not necessarily safe or identical on real hardware, and damage effects in the simulator are only an illustration.
When building real circuits, follow component datasheets and safety instructions, use low-voltage power sources, and never connect a circuit to mains electricity without supervision from a qualified adult. Children should build with adult supervision.
7. Availability and changes
- The service is provided as is. The operator works to keep Rangkai running but does not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- Features may be added, changed, or discontinued. Major changes that affect your data will be announced in advance where possible.
- Keep copies of important projects with the Download zip feature.
8. Ending your account
- You may stop at any time and ask the operator to delete your account, or your teacher for a student account.
- The operator may disable accounts that break these terms. For minor violations, the operator will give a warning first.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect losses from using Rangkai, including damage to real devices built from a simulation or loss of data that was not backed up. This does not limit your rights as a consumer under the law.
10. Trademarks and third-party software
Arduino, ESP32, Wokwi, and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners. Rangkai is not affiliated with or endorsed by them; they are mentioned only to describe compatibility.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes will first be settled by discussion in good faith.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The effective date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Important changes will be announced on the site before they take effect.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be directed to the Rangkai operator (Admin).
